Finally getting off my ass and finishing up my album. Hard to believe I started this project right as 2008 was beginning. Now it's almost the end of the decade. Hard to believe it's taken me three years, and how fast time flies. It freaks me out sometimes.
I'm really trying to make an effort for ANOMIE not only to be just an album of music, but I want some visual representation in there too. It's been a long journey, and I'm still on it. Can't go without something for the eyes, so I'm in the process of making a digital album jacket rather than wasting paper and cash on getting anything printed. Everyone's gone digital so why can't I? I hope it's something you'll enjoy.
It's mellow (duh!), it's honest and it's what I've got to show for for the past three years so suffice to say I've gone through a lot of changes. But I hope the album is cohesive enough to show that while my songs might often be slow, these past three years have gone so quickly and i can't ignore them. I hope there is versatility. I'm learning. I'm always learning.
Next endeavors, hopefully? To be honest it's been awhile since I've recorded a new song. I think it's mother nature's way of saying get ANOMIE out of the way first so I can start doing new things and change a little more. I'm also in collaboration-mode because I've hit the wall and could use some other points of view, while still sharing the same interest of creating original tunes.
Stay tuned. Can I say that? Is that just a tad bit cliche? Fuck it who cares.
